Wharton Independent School District:

Construction of a new elementary school, grades 2-5, is estimated to be complete in the Spring of 2008.  The new school will be located at 1910 Boling Highway, on a 47-acre tract of land across from the Precinct 1 County Barn.  Additions to the Junior High, grades 6-8, began in January 2007 and upgrades to the High School include renovating the existing kitchen, adding classrooms, a Fine Arts Facility,  new cafeteria, new kitchen and additional parking for 25 cars,.
